📖 The Messenger of Allah, Muhammad ﷺ said:
‎«مَا اجْتَمَعَ قَوْمٌ فِي بَيْتٍ مِنْ بُيُوتِ اللَّهِ، يَتْلُونَ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ وَيَتَدَارَسُونَهُ بَيْنَهُمْ، إِلَّا نَزَلَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّكِينَةُ، وَغَشِيَتْهُمُ الرَّحْمَةُ، وَحَفَّتْهُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ، وَذَكَرَهُمُ اللَّهُ فِيمَنْ عِنْدَهُ.»
“Whenever people gather in one of the houses of Allah, reciting the Book of Allah and studying it together, tranquility descends upon them, mercy covers them, the angels surround them, and Allah mentions them among those who are with Him.” (Sahih Muslim)

“It will be said to the companion of the Qur’an: ‘Recite, ascend, and recite as you used to recite in this world, for your rank will be at the last verse you recite.’”

“And give glad tidings to the patient, who, when disaster strikes them, say, ‘Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.’” (Qur’an 2:155–156) 🤲

She passed away in India 🇮🇳 and will be buried there, In shā’ Allāh.

اللهم اغفر لها وارحمها، وعافها واعفُ عنها، وأكرم نُزلها، ووسع مدخلها، واجعل قبرها روضةً من رياض الجنة، واجعلها من أهل الفردوس الأعلى. اللهم أنزل السكينة على أهلها، وارزقهم الصبر والسلوان. آمين. 🤲🏻

O Allah, forgive her, have mercy on her, pardon her, and grant her the highest place in Jannah. Make her grave a garden from the gardens of Paradise, fill it with light and peace, and grant patience, strength, and comfort to her family. Ameen. 🤲🏻

🤍 May Allah (SWT) forgive her, have mercy upon her, and reunite her with the righteous in Jannat Al-Firdaws. Ameen. 🤲🏻🤲🏻

Make every effort to join Fajr and ’Isha prayers in congregation. These two prayers carry tremendous rewards and are among the greatest signs of faith.

🕋 Allah (SWT) says:
📖 ﴿وَقُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ ۖ إِنَّ قُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ كَانَ مَشْهُودًا﴾
“And the recitation of dawn; indeed, the recitation of dawn is ever witnessed.” (Qur’an 17:78)

📖 ﴿وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ﴾
“And glorify the praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun.” (Qur’an 20:130)

🕋 The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

✅ “لَوْ يَعْلَمُونَ مَا فِي الْعَتَمَةِ وَالصُّبْحِ لَأَتَوْهُمَا وَلَوْ حَبْوًا.”
“If people knew the reward of the ’Isha and Fajr prayers, they would come to them even if they had to crawl.” (Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim)

✅ “مَنْ صَلَّى الصُّبْحَ فَهُوَ فِي ذِمَّةِ اللَّهِ.”
“Whoever prays Fajr is under the protection of Allah.” (Sahih Muslim)

✅ “رَكْعَتَا الْفَجْرِ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا.”
“The two rak’ahs before Fajr are better than this world and all it contains.” (Sahih Muslim)

🤲🏻 May Allah make us among those who faithfully attend Fajr and ‘Isha in congregation, keep us steadfast in worship, and gather us together in Al-Firdaws Al-A’la. Ameen.

📖 Allah says:
﴿ إِنَّ هَٰذَا الْقُرْآنَ يَهْدِي لِلَّتِي هِيَ أَقْوَمُ ﴾
“Indeed, this Qur’an guides to that which is most suitable.” - (Surah Al-Isra 17:9)
﴿ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَتْلُونَ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ وَأَقَامُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَأَنْفَقُوا مِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ سِرًّا وَعَلَانِيَةً يَرْجُونَ تِجَارَةً لَّن تَبُورَ ﴾
“Indeed, those who recite the Book of Allah, establish prayer, and spend from what We have provided for them secretly and publicly can expect a profit that will never perish.” - (Surah Fatir 35:29)

🌹 The Prophet ﷺ said:
قال رسول الله ﷺ: «خَيْرُكُمْ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ وَعَلَّمَهُ»
“The best among you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it"
وقال ﷺ: «مَنْ قَرَأَ حَرْفًا مِنْ كِتَابِ اللَّهِ فَلَهُ بِهِ حَسَنَةٌ، وَالْحَسَنَةُ بِعَشْرِ أَمْثَالِهَا»
“Whoever recites a letter from the Book of Allah will receive one good deed, and each good deed is multiplied by ten"

May Allah make the Qur’an the spring of our hearts, the light of our chests, and an intercessor for us on the Day of Judgment.

«يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ، إِذَا صُمْتَ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ ثَلَاثًا، فَصُمْ ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ، وَأَرْبَعَ عَشْرَةَ، وَخَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ.»

💬 The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“O Abu Dharr, if you are going to fast three days of the month, then fast on the thirteenth, fourteenth, and fifteenth.”

🌿 وقال رسول الله ﷺ:
«مَنْ صَامَ يَوْمًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ بَعَّدَ اللَّهُ وَجْهَهُ عَنِ النَّارِ سَبْعِينَ خَرِيفًا.»
💬 The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Whoever fasts one day for the sake of Allah, Allah will keep his face away from the Fire by a distance of seventy years.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim)

📖 Allah (SWT) says:
‎"ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَآ أَصَـٰبَتْهُم مُّصِيبَةٌۭ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّآ إِلَيْهِ رَٰجِعُونَ (١٥٦) أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ عَلَيْهِمْ صَلَوَٰتٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ وَرَحْمَةٌۭ ۖ وَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُهْتَدُونَ (١٥٧)"

"who say, when struck by a disaster, “Surely to Allah we belong and to Him we will ˹all˺ return, They are the ones who will receive Allah’s blessings and mercy. And it is they who are ˹rightly˺ guided." (Quran 2:156-157)

Dr. Rehab Mahmoud Hafez, Professor in the Department of Botany and Microbiology at Cairo University, and sister of our Brother Mohamed Hafez from the Egyptian community in Torrance and Hawthorne, She has passed away in Egypt at the age of 52 after a long battle with illness.

🕌 The Azaa' for brothers and sisters will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, after Maghrib prayer at the Islamic Center of Hawthorne.

May Allah (SWT) forgive her, have mercy upon her, make her suffering an expiation for her sins, grant her Jannat Al-Firdaws, and bless her family with patience and strength.

انتقلت إلى رحمة الله تعالى فى مصر الدكتورة رحاب محمود حافظ، أستاذة بقسم النبات والميكروبيولوجي بكلية العلوم جامعة القاهرة، وشقيقة الأخ المهندس محمد حافظ من أبناء الجالية المصرية في تورانس وهاوثورن، عن عمر ناهز 52 عامًا، بعد صراع طويل مع المرض.

‎🕌 سيُقام العزاء للرجال والنساء يوم السبت 25 يوليو 2026 بعد صلاة المغرب في مسجد هاوثورن.

“O you who have believed, fasting has been prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, so that you may attain taqwa.”
(Qur’an 2:183)

🌿 The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
«مَنْ صَامَ يَوْمًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ بَاعَدَ اللَّهُ وَجْهَهُ عَنِ النَّارِ سَبْعِينَ خَرِيفًا.»
“Whoever fasts one day for the sake of Allah, Allah will distance his face from the Fire by seventy years." - (Bukhari & Muslim)

☀️ Even if the day is hot, every moment of patience, thirst, and effort for the sake of Allah is rewarded.

🧡 May Allah accept our fasting, forgive our sins, and grant us entry through Ar-Rayyan, the gate of those who fast. 🤲🏻

📖 (رواه مسلم)
“Whoever prays ’Isha in congregation, it is as if he has spent half the night in prayer. And whoever prays Fajr in congregation, it is as if he has spent the whole night in prayer.” (Muslim)

🕋 The Prophet ﷺ also said:
“The most burdensome prayers for the hypocrites are Fajr and ’Isha. If they knew the reward they contain, they would come to them even if they had to crawl.” (Al-Bukhari & Muslim)
«لَيْسَتْ صَلَاةٌ أَثْقَلَ عَلَى الْمُنَافِقِينَ مِنَ الْفَجْرِ وَالْعِشَاءِ، وَلَوْ يَعْلَمُونَ مَا فِيهِمَا لَأَتَوْهُمَا وَلَوْ حَبْوًا».

📖 The Prophet ﷺ also said:
«أَفْضَلُ الصَّلَاةِ بَعْدَ الصَّلَاةِ الْمَكْتُوبَةِ صَلَاةُ اللَّيْلِ»
“The best prayer after the obligatory prayers is the night prayer (Qiyam Al-Layl).” - Sahih Muslim

🤍 The Prophet ﷺ also said:
«اجْعَلُوا آخِرَ صَلَاتِكُمْ بِاللَّيْلِ وِتْرًا»
“Make Witr the last of your prayers at night.”
- Sahih Al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim

🤲🏻 May Allah accept our prayers and make us among those who stand in prayer during the night. Ameen. 🌙

Strive to attend Fajr prayer in congregation (Jamat) It carries an immense reward and countless blessings.

🕋 Allah (SWT) said:

📖 ﴿وَقُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ ۖ إِنَّ قُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ كَانَ مَشْهُودًا﴾
“And the recitation of dawn; indeed, the recitation of dawn is ever witnessed.” (Qur’an 17:78)

 📖 ﴿وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ﴾
"And glorify the praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun.” (Qur’an 20:130)

📖 ﴿وَالْمُسْتَغْفِرِينَ بِالْأَسْحَارِ﴾
”…and those who seek forgiveness before dawn. (Qur’an 3:17)

🕋 The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

✅ “لَوْ يَعْلَمُونَ مَا فِي الْعَتَمَةِ وَالصُّبْحِ لَأَتَوْهُمَا وَلَوْ حَبْوًا.”
“If people knew the reward of the ’Isha and Fajr prayers, they would come to them even if they had to crawl.” (Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim)

✅ “مَنْ صَلَّى الصُّبْحَ فَهُوَ فِي ذِمَّةِ اللَّهِ فَلاَ يَطْلُبَنَّكُمُ اللَّهُ مِنْ ذِمَّتِهِ بِشَىْءٍ فَيُدْرِكَهُ فَيَكُبَّهُ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ”
“He who prayed the morning prayer (in congregation) he is in fact under the protection of Allah. And it can never happen that Allah should demand anything from you in connection with the protection (that He guarantees) and one should not get it. He would then throw him in the fire of Hell. (Sahih Muslim)

✅ “مَنْ صَلَّى الْبَرْدَيْنِ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ.”
“Whoever prays the two cool prayers (Fajr and ’Asr) will enter Paradise.” (Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim)

✅  “يَتَعَاقَبُونَ فِيكُمْ مَلَائِكَةٌ بِاللَّيْلِ وَمَلَائِكَةٌ بِالنَّهَارِ… فَيَجْتَمِعُونَ فِي صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ وَصَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ.”
“Angels take turns among you by night and by day, and they meet together at the Fajr and ’Asr prayers.” (Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim)

✅ "لَنْ يلجَ النَّار أَحدٌ صلَّى قبْلَ طُلوعِ الشَّمْس وَقَبْل غُرُوبَها"
