It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother Abdul Rahim Qauomi of Barrie, Ontario, Canada.

He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Monday, March 16, 2026.

‎اِنَّا لِلّهِ وَاِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُون

He leaves behind his loving wife, four children, and nine grandchildren. May Allah ﷻ keep them steadfast upon the Deen of Allah ﷻ and following the footsteps of the Prophet ﷺ. Ameen.

Janazah Prayer
The Janazah prayer will be held at The Barrie Mosque, 155 Ferris Ln, Barrie, ON L4M 1Z3, Wednesday , march 18 th , 2026, at 1:40 after the zuhr prayer InshaAllah.
There will be no viewing.

Burial
The burial will take place our Barrie mosque Muslim Garden at innisvale cemetery 7551 5th side rd Innisfil  ON 
following the Janazah.

Condolences
The family will receive condolences at Ummah Nabawiah Masjid, 2074 Kipling Ave, Etobicoke, ON M9W 4J9, on Sunday, March 29, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

O Allah, forgive him, have mercy on him, grant him ease, and pardon him. Honor him the best dwelling in this blessed month and widen his grave. Make his grave a garden from the gardens of Paradise and Raise him in his rank and expiate his sins.

The family kindly reminds everyone that the best gift for the deceased is righteous deeds performed on their behalf, such as Du’a, Dhikr, Salah, and Sadaqah. Please respect the family’s privacy during this difficult time and keep them in your Duas.

*1) Donor Choice (Point of Sale Terminals or Wall Donation Kiosks)*

- Ensure you have an account. To register, visit: https://donorchoice.ca/signup. Use the same email address as your previous donations. Alternatively if you donated in 2025 you should have received an email to create an account.
- If you already have an account, your tax receipt should be in your email.
- If you did not have an account, create one and click on "Tax Receipts" on the left side of the webpage, then click "Request New" to generate your 2025 receipt. (You can also do this if you did not receive an email)

*2) The Masjid App (Donations through the app or event contributions)*

- No account required, but you *must* use the same email that was used for payments.
- Open the app, click the three lines in the top right corner, and select "Request Receipt." Alternatively, use this link: https://themasjidapp.net/receipts.
- Fill in your information and set the dates from Jan 1 to Dec 31, 2025.
- If you have used multiple email addresses, repeat this process for each email.
