Al Noor Islamic Academy Reenrollment 2026–2027

Assalamu Alaikum Parents and Families,

Reenrollment for the 2026–2027 school year at Al Noor Islamic Academy is now open! We are excited to welcome back our returning students and families for another wonderful year, InshaAllah.

First Day of School: Tuesday, September 2, 2026

Returning families should complete reenrollment through the Parent Portal. Please be sure to update all contact and emergency information, upload the required immunization records and physical forms, and complete the $50 nonrefundable enrollment fee.

Families enrolling a new student should complete the New Student Application using the link provided on the flyer.

Please complete all required steps and documentation before the first day of school to ensure your child’s enrollment is secured.

Nominations officially close this Friday at midnight (11:59 PM). Voting will begin this Sunday.

Active member of the Masjid for the past two years
At least 18 years of age
Resident of Luzerne County

How to Submit Before the Deadline:
Self-Nomination: Reply directly to this email with your full name, age, address, and phone number.
Nominating Someone Else: Reply with their full name, address, and phone number (please ensure they agree to serve before submitting).

Election Timeline & Key Information:
Nomination Deadline: Friday, August 21, 2026 at 11:59 PM (Midnight)
Voting Begins: Sunday, August 23, 2026 (Official ballots and instructions will be sent via email)

Members of the election committee are not eligible for nomination.

The seven elected members will vote internally to assign specific officer roles.

Executive board members cannot hold the same role for more than two consecutive 2-year terms.

We are looking for active members who are willing to serve our community to the best of their abilities.
 
The available positions are:

You are eligible to be on the IANEPA board if you are an active member of the Masjid for the past two years, over the age of 18 and live in Luzerne County.  
 
If you are interested in serving as a board member, you can nominate yourself by replying to this email with your [full name, age, address, phone number]. 
 
If you wish to nominate any other member(s) of IANEPA, you may do so by replying to this email with their  [full name], [address and phone number if available]. 
You should check with them to assure their willingness to serve before you send their info.

Please be advised that:
1- Nominations for the board members will be accepted till 08/22/2026
2- Nominations must be sent by email to:

3- You must check with prospective nominees to assure their willingness to serve before you send their nominations.  
4- After a couple of days of nomination deadline, ballots with the names of nominees will be sent out to the community and elections will be made by email. 
5- Announcement will be made after Friday prayer to solicit nominations.
6- Deadline for voting after nomination will be announced at a later date. 
7- Members of the election committee are not allowed to be nominated.
8- The seven elected members will then vote among themselves to fill the available positions.
9- Members of the executive board cannot hold the same position for more than 2 consecutive 2-year terms.

We ask Allah ﷻ to forgive his shortcomings, shower him with His mercy, expand and illuminate his grave, and grant him the highest ranks in Jannat al-Firdaws. May Allah grant patience, strength, and comfort to his family and loved ones during this difficult time.
