“And cooperate in righteousness and piety." (Qur’an 5:2)

❤️ The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
«وَاللَّهُ فِي عَوْنِ الْعَبْدِ مَا كَانَ الْعَبْدُ فِي عَوْنِ أَخِيهِ»
“Allah is in the aid of His servant as long as the servant is in the aid of his brother.” (Sahih Muslim)

🚗🅿️ Parking on Hawthorne Blvd

AA- If you park your car on Hawthorne Blvd, you must pay for parking using the app 📱 or a street kiosk 🅿️.

The City of Hawthorne has outsourced the management and enforcement of its Paid Parking Pilot Program to LAZ Parking. Here’s how they check parking compliance:

1️⃣ 📸 License Plate Reader (LPR) Technology

Hawthorne uses a “pay-by-plate” digital system, so you do not need to place a physical receipt on your dashboard.

📱 When you pay using ParkMobile or a street kiosk, your license plate number is entered into a live database.

🚓 Enforcement vehicles equipped with License Plate Reader (LPR) cameras drive through the parking zones and scan parked vehicles.

⚡ The system instantly checks the scanned license plates against the active payment database and flags vehicles that:

❌ Have not paid for parking
⏰ Have exceeded their paid parking time

2️⃣ 👮 Human Parking Officers

While the cameras scan the license plates, human parking enforcement officers make the final compliance decision.

🚗 LAZ Parking enforcement personnel patrol the designated parking zones by vehicle or on foot.

🔍 When the technology flags a vehicle as non-compliant, a parking officer verifies the information.

📝 The officer then manually prints and issues a physical citation or warning using a handheld device.
