📢 RAMADAN & TIME CHANGE: Important Updates for Tonight! 🌸
Please be advised that Daylight Saving Time begins at 2:00 AM tonight (Sunday, March 8). As we "Spring Forward," there are two critical changes for our Ramadan routine at IOST:
⚠️ 1. CAUTION: Suhoor & Fajr Timing
Because the clocks move forward by one hour tonight, Suhoor will end an hour later on the clock tomorrow morning.
Please double-check your alarms! Ensure you are looking at the "New Time" (EDT) when preparing your Suhoor so you don't stop eating an hour earlier than necessary or, more importantly, miss the cutoff.
🌙 2. NEW Isha & Taraweeh Schedule
To better accommodate the community for the rest of the month, Isha Prayer will now be at 8:45 PM for the remainder of Ramadan. ---
🕌 Updated Daily Prayer Timings (Starting Sunday)
Fajr: 5:48 AM
Dhuhr: 1:30 PM
Asr: 5:00 PM
Maghrib: 7:07 PM
Isha: 8:45 PM 📌 (Fixed for the rest of Ramadan)
🕌 Jumu'ah Timings
1st Jumu'ah: Khutbah @ 1:30 PM | Salah @ 1:55 PM
2nd Jumu'ah: Khutbah @ 2:30 PM | Salah @ 2:55 PM

🌙 Sadaqah-tul-Fitr 2026: Fulfill Your Obligation 🤲
Visit msjd.co/iost2026fitr to pay your Sadaqah-tul-Fitr
As we enter the final days of this blessed month, it is time to fulfill our obligation of Sadaqah-tul-Fitr. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) made Sadaqah-tul-Fitr mandatory to purify our fasts from shortcomings and to ensure that those in need can celebrate Eid with joy and dignity.
Contribution Amounts:
💰 Minimum: $10 per person
💰 Suggested (for those able): $15 per person
(Please calculate this amount for every member of your household.)
3 Easy Ways to Pay:
• In-Person: Use the donation boxes inside the Masjid.
• Digital Kiosk/App: Pay through the Masjid mobile app or on-site kiosk.
• Online: Visit msjd.co/iost2026fitr to submit your payment quickly and securely. (We strongly encourage online donations for faster processing and more efficient distribution).
⚠️ Important Reminder: Please ensure your Sadaqah-tul-Fitr is paid before the Eid Prayer, so it can be distributed in time for those in need to benefit for Eid.
⏳ URGENT: Iftar Sponsorship Update
We are so close to our goal! We only need $3,000 more to fully fund our community Iftars for the remainder of the month. Help us provide for our fasting brothers and sisters during these final nights.
🔗 Donate for Iftar: iost.org/iftarsponsorship
May Allah (SWT) accept your fasts, prayers, and charity, and allow us to witness many more Ramadans in good health and faith. Ameen.
