“Whoever performs the dawn prayer in congregation, then remains seated remembering Allah until the sun rises, and then prays two units of prayer, they will receive a reward like that of a Hajj and an ‘Umrah pilgrimage.” The Prophet said, “Complete, complete, complete!”

Source: Sunan al-Tirmidhī 586

Grade: Hasan (fair) according to Al-Tirmidhi

Imam al-Tibi commented, “This analogy is from the rhetorical category of likening something lesser to something greater as an encouragement, or he likened the worshipper receiving the full reward of this act to the pilgrim receiving the full reward of a completed pilgrimage. As for describing Hajj and ‘Umrah as ‘complete,’ it is a signal of rhetorical emphasis.”
