Assalamu Alaikum dear brothers and sisters,
The Muslim community of Waynesboro, VA is very small, yet growing. For the past year we have been renting a former church building and using it as our masjid. This building has become the center of our salah, Jumu’ah, taraweeh, children’s Qur’an and Islamic studies classes, community gatherings, and more.
Alhamdulillah, after much effort, the Islamic Center of Waynesboro has now officially received its 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. With this achievement, we are now embarking on the next major step for our community: to purchase this property and secure a permanent masjid for our families and the future generations.
The building is now officially on the market, and if we do not act quickly, we may lose this opportunity. We urgently need your support to raise the required funds before the chance slips away.
Owning this property will:
Give our community a permanent home
Protect our prayer space for the future
Allow us to renovate and expand gradually
Enable us to provide more programs for youth, women, converts, and families
Establish ongoing sadaqah jariyah for every supporter
This is the ONLY masjid within a 30-mile radius. Many families depend on it. Our children desperately need a place to grow with Islam.
