About Event
Every Friday after Jumu'ah prayer, Masjid Al Farooq (MAF) distributes Zakat to eligible recipients in accordance with the eight categories prescribed by Allah in the Qur'an. The primary beneficiaries are the poor (fuqarā') and the needy (masākīn), many of whom are individuals and families from our underserved inner-city Muslim community. Throughout the year, we also assist with rent, utilities, food, medical needs, and other essential expenses. During Ramadan, MAF distributes Zakat al-Fitr to help ensure families in need can celebrate Eid with dignity.
