Riverburst Finisher Ceremony

About Event

Riverburst invites the ICOI community to join us after Ishaa’ on Friday, April 3rd, 2026, at 9:00 PM at the Islamic Center of Irvine.

We will be celebrating the achievements of five outstanding young men, ages 17–18, along with their families:
- Sufyaan Ashrafi
- Abdul Kareem Azhar
- Omar Hboubati
- Safi Hoda
- Hamza Sidky

They have achieved the distinguished Riverburst Finisher status, meeting rigorous criteria that include strong character, pursuit of formal Islamic knowledge, physical development, and training in a combat art.

This unique coming-of-age ceremony will include brief symbolic activities reflecting their journey and growth. It is also intended to inspire Muslim boys, young men, and their families.

Dr. Adam Wang, Director of Riverburst, and Shaykh Anas Amla will share words of guidance for families raising young men.

Refreshments will be served afterward.

We warmly encourage you to bring your sons and attend this meaningful and uplifting evening.
