Sadaqah-tul-Fitr: A mandatory charity for every member of the household.
Sadaqah-tul-Fitr (Zakat-ul-Fitr) is a duty performed by every Muslim at the end of the month of Ramadan. It serves two primary purposes:
- Purification: To cleanse the fasting person from any indecent act or speech during Ramadan.
- Support: To provide food and assistance to the poor and needy so they may celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr.
Who Must Pay?
This is a mandatory obligation for every member of your household, including children and infants. The head of the household may pay on behalf of all dependents.
Minimum Amount: $10.00 per person
Affluent Amount (Suggested): $15.00 per person
š Deadline for Payment
All donations must be received before the start of the Eid-ul-Fitr prayer. Please donate early to ensure our distribution teams have enough time to reach families in need before the day of Eid.
Other Ways to Give
If you prefer not to donate online, you may use:
- The Masjid Kiosk: Located in the main lobby.
- Donation Boxes: Cash or checks can be dropped off in the secure boxes labeled "Fitra" inside the Masjid.
