Assalamu Alaikum Please join us for a "Getting Ready to Vote" workshop at IOST. Held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 1:30 PM to 3 PM after Dhuhr prayer, we invite you to a special session led by Imam Anas Shaikh & a few local members of the Binghamton area. The workshop will focus on the voting process, understanding ballets, Islamic guidelines related to voting, how to learn about candidates, how to register to vote, locate your polling place, mark sample ballots, and follow Islamic principles in the voting process. Islamic guidelines and questions such as ' Who do I vote for?, Is it permissible for a Muslim to vote for a non-Muslim?', etc. will also be discussed. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions, ask questions, and gain a deeper understanding of their rights and obligations as voters. Refreshments will be served to all in attendance. The event is free to attend, and there is no registration required.
